A Solid Debut
The vocals on this album are the most impressive of all of Jessica's recordings. Her voice is so powerful and clear. My favourite song is 'Where You Are', but 'Your Faith In Me' is a brilliant ballad too and should have been released as a single. There is a good mix of upbeat pop and strong ballads and Jessica puts everything into it. A couple of the songs are too cheesy, such as 'My Wonderful', but considering Jessica was only about 17 when this was made, it was a great accomplishment and the perfect showcase for her as a new pop artist.
This is not so much an 'album' as it is more like a maxi CD Single that includes a few remixes. The main problem is that these remixes are too long. Most go on for 8 or 9 minutes and among 7 tracks there are only variations of 3 different songs. I agree that the 'Where You Are' remixes should have been included, this would have improved it slightly, but I think that Columbia just wanted to use Jessica to make some extra money after the success of the Destiny's Child 'This Is The Remix' album. I don't think that Jessica was really involved in this release at all.
My Favourite Album
In my opinion this is Jessica's best album by a long way. She sings from the heart and nothing about this record is manufactured. I think this CD defines who Jessica really is as an artist. My favourite song is 'Be', but there are lots of fantastic songs, including 'With You' and 'Underneath'. It's obvious that she was truly happy when she made this album, her vocals are really natural and the lyrics have all come from her. The orchestration is great, I love everything about it.
A festive treat
As Christmas albums go, this is one of the best in my collection. Jessica does a great job singing classics like 'O Holy Night' and 'Hark! The Herald Angels Sing'. The duets with Nick & Ashlee are a lot of fun and there is a brilliant version of 'Let It Snow'. Sometimes I feel Jessica pushes her voice too hard and there are a few too many vocal gymnastics, but overall this album is really great to sing-a-long to and gets you in the Christmas spirit. I will be playing it every year!
I like listening to this album, but it can't be compared with 'In This Skin'. I feel that Jessica didn't really put her heart into this record. I can't understand why she would produce so many upbeat, fun songs shortly after going through one of the most painful experiences in her life. I can see that maybe she just wanted to forget about all of that stuff and have fun again through her music, but it just doesn't ring true to me. I'm not just referring to the lyrics, there isn't as much emotion in her voice this time. She doesn't use anywhere near her full range and her diction is poor.

A Great Mix of Pop & R'n'B
I think one of the main reasons that this album wasn't more successful was that the record company tried to give Jessica a sexy image in order to replicate the success of Britney Spears and it didn't really suit her personality. The quality of the songs is great, there are many strong ballads and pop / r'n'b tracks that are a lot edgier than the sound of Jessica's first album. I really like the lead single 'Irresistible', but then 'A Little Bit' came out with one of the worst videos I've ever seen and after that there wasn't a third single release.
