Ok I may be the only one who feels this way, but I DO NOT wish they would get back together. I don't like Nick AT ALL! I hate him with Vanessa too, I agree that she is a "Jessica Wannabe" and needs to drop off the face of the earth. But in my personal opinon Jessica is better off without Nick. I don't feel he is good for her. Granted a lot of s*** has happened to Jessica since the divorce, but I don't want her to get back him him. Believe me I loved Newlyweds just as much as the next person, it was MTV's greatest show ever, I own all the seasons on DVD, but I honestly truly hate Nick and think Jessica can do soooooo much better then him.
There´s probably no one in here who wouldn´t want Nick & Jess to get back together, but the thing is that we can only speculate why things turned out the way that they did. We have absolutely no idea about what kind of problems they were facing when the cameras were not rolling. What we saw in Newlyweds was only a tiny piece of what a marriage really is. I am 22 years and I´ve been married for 1,5 years now. I have learned that getting married when you´re young is a big thing. You are not too sure about who you are, and to suddenly share such a deep bond with someone and make the commitment and stick to your vows, it´s not easy. You really need to give time to your relationship and make up your mind. You promise to love each other always, not just when things feel great. I have my theories about why the Lachey-Simpson marriage didn´t last. (Jessica, if you read this, I´m sorry for speculating.)
Factors:
1. Hollywood.
To be married here is probably much harder than in "ordinary life". Why? Because there´s so much more pressure, stress factors and temptation, Nick was surrounded by drooling girls all the time, and Jessica is also an international sex symbol, I think they both had to deal with a lot of jealousy.
2. Lack of privacy.
Imagine to be a newlywed and see all your arguments on tv, man... it was such a stupid idea! Great carrier move but devastating for a fresh marriage. And outside their house, paparazzi everywhere, there was simply nothing that was private for them. Even their sex life was discussed.
3. Too little quality time.
I don´t think they had too much time alone. They did a lot of great, romantic stuff together, but did they ever have time to be alone and work on their relationship, sort things out?
4. Differencies.
Everyone could tell that they were very different personalities. This is hard for any couple.
There´s so much more.. Jessica was a very young bride, and after a few married years I think she went through a crisis when she felt that time was slipping away from her, that she didn´t have time for herself - maybe she felt that there was no She, only Us. That´s something SO important in a marriage - you always have to let the other one develop and grow independently and not be overprotective! Maybe Jess has been taken care of all her life and she suddenly felt the need to be independent? I definately thing that they could have worked things out, and that they divorced why they still loved each other. But to work things out you both have to be willing to. If one gives up then what can the other do? I think Nick simply was more ready to settle down, Jessica thought she was but suddenly she became unhappy and felt trapped.. who knows? These are only speculaions...
My hope is that they will find their way back to each other, someday. But the most important thing is that Jessica is with God, because he is the greatest friend she´ll ever have.

Maybe there is a special place in Jessica's heart for Nick, of course there is. They got MARRIED. But that doesn't mean that Jess is in love with Nick again. They were SO CUTE together, and I still watch Newlyweds everytime I have time. I laugh and cry for their things. :) And I hope they get back together. But I don't think that she is doing mistake here. Divorce was their COMMON decision, and no one can blame ONLY Jessica or ONLY Nick. AAAND I trust Jessica's instinct with everything she does. And this is one of them. So why can't we all just forget it about Nick - even for a while - and get focus on Jessica. Yes I think that Nick and Jess should get back together!! Their love seemed so real. My boyfriend and I used to watch Newlyweds together and always laughed at how they seemed like us now and then. Now that they are not together anymore, it just doesnt seem right. Nick's girlfriend Vanessa just doesnt seem to fill Jess's shoes. The other day I watched Nick's MTV Specials online. He looked so sad!!! And his album which is just filled with lyrics of love that he had for her. I just hope one day that they may find their way back to each other. I still watch Newlyweds and wish more than anything that Nick and Jessica would get back together. They seemed so happy and so in love and I think deep down they both want that back. Vanessa is a cute girl but she just can't fill Jess's shoes. I hope that their divorce made them both realize what they gave up and in the near future they reconcile and be the happy couple they once were. What they had was real, everyone saw that. It's so sad to watch how things were and how they ended up. But, I wish both of them the best of luck in love and life!!

i cried like someone broke my heart and dumped me when jessica and nick split.but i think after seeing how everything ended and everything they both have been through since their seperation i think its best they do move on. its hard to say that because i loved them n believed in their relationship so much, but things are different now. jessica n nick r now 2 diff people looking for something different.

I just got done watching Behind The Music: Nick Lachey. I think that they need to also get back together. I hope she feels like him and loves him as much as it seems like he loves her. I wish she would speak publicly about it like he did. I kinda got teary eyed watching it to be honest.

They were SO CUTE together, and I still watch Newlyweds everytime I have time. I laugh and cry for their things. :) And I hope they get back together. But I don't think that she is doing mistake here. Divorce was their COMMON decision, and no one can blame ONLY Jessica or ONLY Nick. AAAND I trust Jessica's instinct with everything she does. And this is one of them. So why can't we all just forget it about Nick - even for a while - and get focus on Jessica. I hope that Jessica will find her true love, who really loves her, and support her, and who cares about Jess... :)

I really thing too that she make a big mistake... when she left him....I see in the magasine that she love him again so... what she do it???? may be if nick is with vanessa... Yes I think that Nick and Jess should get back together!! Their love seemed so real. My boyfriend and I used to watch Newlyweds together and always laughed at how they seemed like us now and then. Now that they are not together anymore, it just doesnt seem right. Nick's girlfriend Vanessa just doesnt seem to fill Jess's shoes. The other day I watched Nick's MTV Specials online. He looked so sad!!! And his album which is just filled with lyrics of love that he had for her. I just hope one day that they may find their way back to each other. But if they dont, then I just wish them the best and hope they find what they are looking for!!!

I still watch Newlyweds and wish more than anything that Nick and Jessica would get back together. They seemed so happy and so in love and I think deep down they both want that back. Vanessa is a cute girl but she just can't fill Jess's shoes. I hope that their divorce made them both realize what they gave up and in the near future they reconcile and be the happy couple they once were. What they had was real, everyone saw that. It's so sad to watch how things were and how they ended up. But, I wish both of them the best of luck in love and life!!
the wedding was beautiful, ill admit. they looked perfect together but things are not always as they seem, or maybe they just weren't meant to be after all. jessica simpson is great with or without a man, so as long as shes happy thats all that matters!
Yeah, maybe they seemed happy, and they were, before they decided to divorce. But that's not enough, that they seemed happy together, they really HAVE TO BE happy.

some many problem when they were boyfriends, they broke up and got back together and i never thought

Yes, I agree with you, jessicasbestsupportivefan.. I mean, I said Nick doesn't deserve Jessicas tears, and he doesn't, but you know why is that? Well.. That seems like Nick and Vanessa are happy together, yeah, but I think that Nick moved on to a new relationship too fast.. Jess have said that Nicks and Vanessas relationship as fast after Jessicas and Nicks divorce hurted. And I really understand Jessicas feelings! Jess and Nick got their long time relationship ended, and after couple weeks you see Nick and Vanessa hand by hand. Of course it's nice if Vanessa is The One for Nick, I'm happy if he really found women for himself,.. but I really feel bad for Jess. I believe that Jess will find the man of her life! I know that. And I think it's good that Jess can be without a man at the moment. Now she has time for herself, and she can do what she wants to! And I know there's a man for Jessica. You know? The One. i cried like someone broke my heart and dumped me when jessica and nick split.but i think after seeing how everything ended and everything they both have been through since their seperation i think its best they do move on. its hard to say that because i loved them n believed in their relationship so much, but things are different now. jessica n nick r now 2 diff people looking for something different.
if they did get back together id b happy, but i think that i understand n get y they arent together nemore n ive moved on from hoping they do.

Yeah, I agree that they were perfect together, but now that they have broken up like 2 years ago,.. both of them have moved on, and let go., so you should do the same thing. They will get back together if their relationship were meant to be, but I'm glad that Jess can date other guys, you know? I just got done watching Behind The Music: Nick Lachey. I think that they need to also get back together. I hope she feels like him and loves him as much as it seems like he loves her. I wish she would speak publicly about it like he did. I kinda got teary eyed watching it to be honest.

Nick never actually cheated on Jessica, it was a very untrue story that I didn't buy. Nick is not that kind of person to cheat on anyone, and he actually a stellar kind of guy.
