Troubled Hollywood Youth - Something to think about.
This is really a message for Mr. Joe Simpson. I understand that before Mr. Simpson was a manager, he was once a Christian Pastor in Texas that, at times, worked with young people. After the recent events involving Ms. Lohan, Ms. Hilton, Ms. Richie, and Ms. Spears, I was wondering whether he would even consider taking some time out of his schedule to actually talk with these women and show them God's love. It's one thing to have just any minister talk with a young adult, especially a minister that has not been in the Hollywood world. Now that Mr. Simpson has two adult daughters of his own that he probably has, at one time or another, counseled on the right path to take in life, perhaps he could share some of his light with these troubled young women.
I realize that these ladies would have to have their own individual desires to change and become better people. Furthermore, they would have to honestly show a desire to listen to someone in the business who could share some spiritual light with them. I just thought that it would possibly be beneficial to these young women to have someone who is in the business, with daughters in the same age group, and with a pastorial background to reach out to them. Who knows what kind of a witness Mr. Simpson could actually wind up being! Something to think about.

Jessica and Ashley are not the only singers with parents in the ministry. I believe that Aretha Franklin's father was a minister as well as Marvin Gaye's father, and Whitney Houston's Mother is a Gospel singer. Yet, in all three examples, as far as I know, the parents did not leave the ministry after their children became famous.
Nice article, very helpful. Thanks!

I like the original suggestion, but the other responses show good insight. The other girls certainly need somebody to parent them before they screw up their lives irrevocably. I only have the "Sweet Kisses" album, but I loved reading the liner notes. I sincerely hope that Jessica keeps her head screwed on straight.
I have to say that I am curious as to the reason why Joe Simpson would leave the ministry. I realize that Jessica and Ashley were becoming stars; however, God comes first and I would think that he would want to be an example to his daughters. What a powerful testimony that would be to them.

I hope that one day soon, Joe Simpson will see the light, before it's too late.
Dusted angel - I agree with what you're saying, but if you have followed Joe Simpson's path, you would see that he is probly not the proper person to chat with these troubled stars. I dont think Joe is a horrible person by any means, but a father should stand by his daughter if she is happy with in her home. In other words, Im dissapointed in Joe that he seemed so happy when Jess divorced Nick, and even happier when Jess was with John....and it's a money popularity contest! Joe is Money Hungry.....
These troubled young stars need thier family's true support and Help. Most of these girls have messed up home lives, or thier parents are not involved as much as they should be. Not to mention, that the celebrity status has opened them up to the issues they have now (getting into clubs before the appropriate age, buying alcohol, and drugs...etc)
I dont think Joe Simpson would show these girls the light. Maybe if they were introduced to god on a regular basis, then they would get it, but with most of them, it is the fame and thier age....they will change as they become more mature.
The above are all prime examples of why it is so important to stick to Gods light in life !!
