I don’t think I have actually ever joined an artist page/fan page. I have always been a huge fan of music, but I never took the time to join or blog on their music page. Today I was sitting at work, bored b/c all my friends are attending Derby festivities and I’m stuck here at my desk. I logged on to my Project Playlist and began thinking of songs to add. I wanted to listen to some music that would get me in an upbeat happy mood, so I browsed my mind thinking back on what I call, “girl songs.” I’m sure everyone knows what kinds of songs I’m talking about i.e. old Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Jessica Simpson. For some reason when Jessica Simpson came to mind I began to think about all the terrible things that have been said about her in the media. Here is where I stand on the media’s remarks regarding Jessica Simpson and many other stars. It’s one thing if you do not like someone’s choice of craft, we all enjoy different types of art and we are free to make this choice. Attacking someone’s person is on a totally different level. It seems that today’s world has made it incredibly easy to pry into people’s personal life. With that said, celebrities have to accept the fact that the media will always be there and gossip mags will continue to be published, but it seems that our society has taken it to a substantially different level. Now when you turn on CNN flashing across the bottom of the screen is a celebrity divorce or a celebrity’s newest plastic surgery. What does that say for our society’s focus and the focus of our future generation?
How does it affect you that so and so gained or lost weight? I just have to laugh at the male gossip reporters that slew comments about a female celebrity’s weight. Hello!! Being a normal 24 year old girl I can tell you that my weight has always fluctuated as has my sisters and my mom’s. Women’s bodies are different then men’s bodies. Our bodies male or female grow and change at different speeds. I was very inspired to see the pictures of Jessica Simpson with a more womanly figure and the un-edited pictures of Kim Kardashian. Those are the types of pictures that slap the weight loss drink and piece of celery out of your hand and bring you back to reality. Celebrities are just people who have mastered a certain art of entertainment. They are who they are and we are who we are. We are all people. It’s like when I go to the salon and bring a picture of a certain haircut or style that I want. After leaving the salon my hair never looks exactly like the picture. There might be a near close resemblance, but it will never be the exact same. God made us that way. So stop trying to emulate someone other then yourself. Just think, the richest most popular person in the world couldn’t look exactly like you. Respect the fact that celebrities like Jessica Simpson; have not fallen into the stereotypical image of Hollywood!!

I bought one of Jessica Simpson's purses. I had a lot of great compliments on it. The size and color was great. I fell in love with it.

BUT ........ I have only had the purse for a couple of months. IT IS FALLING APART. It is an expensive purse $100 + . With the economy being bad, I thought if I bought a quality product it would last a long time. WRONG. It is coming apart where the purse straps meet the purse.

I wanted to let you know I was at the chili cookoff in the front row. I thought you looked great. The media is so cruel. I was disgusted like your sister. I also wanted to let you know on my way home the next day listening to KISS country a lot of the people that were there thought including me we didn't get to give you a good send off because the speakers went out and we couldn't hear the last part of the song or what you said after that. All of the songs on this CD are great, but one in particular speaks to a lot of different people and could give strength to those that need it. I think that the topic is not spoken of enough and as someone that has been through an abusive relationship I loved this song. I hope that "Remember That" will be her next release. If anyone has not heard this song I would hope that you will listen to it and pass it on to anyone that needs the message she is sending.

I stumbled upon your images, then lead to Tony Romo etc...googled. I dont watch much TV, i spend more time on computer and working. I just want to let you know I'am your biggest fan and YOU are way way prettier than Carrie, and can sing better as well.

For some reason, i never liked Carrie from the get go, i dont know why...i have nothing againts her and she means good im sure. Thats just me., I always liked Jess even when she hit it big way back then.

Well I have to say you won me over with your country album..never really a big fan, I was truly shocked. I have it on my Ipod and it enjoy it at the gym. Just one piece of advice..dont be so animated when you sing live, (head bobbin,mouth animated) I couldnt watch "The View" performance.. keep yourself still and let the emotions come through in your eyes, to win country music fans over they need to see that. Other than that, You get a 5star for the album..Congrats.
