This recording kicks ass.There is a fantastic set of musicians behind her.She has a country style voice,and uses it well.Let's do away with the rediculous dance routine and get those 4 wheels rollin' fast to her. I don't know if she's had a voice coach ,or if country rock is just her calling.
I'm not a real country music fan,but it doesn't take a brain surgeon to hear how she's matured.
Another thing about "her" I like is we haven't had to add up the rehab time or jail minutes for her.
Buy it,listen to it.Open up you pea sized minds and enjoy it. Yes it is different than what to expect(good for her)
If we have to label it,or rate it this not hip hop slopor dance routine... very refreshing.

I love this CD! Jessica is such an inspiration to all of her fans... Her music is captivating, reassuring and above all...magical! She keeps her head held high when everyone tries to pull her down. I am not much of a country music fan nor am I a Jessica Simpson fan. But I heard Pray Out Loud on The Today Show one morning and had to press rewind on my DVR. I loved it, you have found your calling.
This is an amazing album i love your knew country music as kuch as the Pop musix. i will admit when i first heard u were going country i was a little scared. i knew i was going to at least "like" the album but not as much as pop but instead after the first listen of this CD i was like i LOVE this cd. i love ur pop music and ur contry music. i know some fans want u to go backt to pop but after i saw the dvd on the deluxe version i know u belong in country as much if not more as pop.
I am 42 year old "sista". I want you to know how very proud of you I am!!! You carry yourself unlike many in this business. You have not only a beautiful voice, but a beautiful spirit as well (and your body is bangin'). Don't ever change for the media or other jealous individuals. Continue to be smart and work hard. Never let the industry and media get you down or make you doubt yourself.

I may be a little late on having heard about this album, but as a fan of country music (when I did hear about it) I had to listen to it right away. What an amazing job!!!!!! I am so happy Jessica has turned to country music. I'll admit, I was never Jessica's biggest fan, maybe because (truthfully speaking) I always felt she was so much better than the music she was making before along with the whole starry-eyed pop scene. For Brittany and pals, they need the gloss, lights, showy productions etc. to allure fans, but I never felt Jessica needed that or ever will. Now for the first time (I feel) the real Jessica is showing and it's awesome! Not only is this a great album, but it's great to see a real artist shine. I am officially hooked on Jessica Simpson and can't wait until her next country album. All there is left to say is "Good instincts girl!!!!!!"

I have been a Jessica Simpson fan since her first album. I've liked her the most because she has an amazing voice and she's not afraid to be herself. I think that Do You Know is her best album and that she has found her niche. Country music really suits her and she should stick with it. Luv ya Jess!!
Jessica Simpson has definately found the music genre that was meant for her! She has always had talent but it never "wowed" me like it has with hearing her sing country music. She is definately in her element now and I hope, for the sake of her and country music fans everywhere, that she sticks with it and never believes anyone who says she is better off singing pop songs.

I think on the whole this is a very solid album that Jess should be proud off and which is currently underrated. I have played this album over and over in my car. I realise that I enjoy the middle section of the album most.

This was a great introduction for Jess to the Country music world. The song was not pretenscious and was just fun and flirty, with a strong country instrumental. It certainly was a stand up and listen to me song.

It's easy to have thought that this ong should be a single but then on the other hand, I was worried whether this would work well on country Radio because the message is so specific and about a sad topic. I think this song had more potential. It was let down by the song construction. It only really has one verse and then the verse and bridge are just repeated. That makes it a bit thin on the ground lyric wise especially as country songs usually tell more of a story rather than jsut repeat positive messages. Another verse would have added more depth (and another 2 stars or so). Aside from that the song is pleasant and uplifting. I'm worried how this will fair as a third single. I'm not sure it has that 'listen to me' sound that 'Still beautiful' has.

I love this song. The video could be very good. (my vision would be Jess walking through a house and outside with fierce wind with objects around her flying around -whilst she dodging them against the wind and then eventually her life and the wind coming to a calm).

Absolutely great song. I love it. Upbeat and positive. The video would be good. (I envision a reluctant Jess starting the day a bit moody but things making her smile along the way, like her dog, her friends drag her out to a fun fair to cheer her up and a big stage performance at the funfair having been dragged on stage to perform and ending with the crowd bumrushing the stage and dancing along like a big party on stage.
I have a good feeling from this song. It has good lyrics and message overall. Two fingers to the haters trying to bring you down (ie Perez). (Would be nice to get a funny dig about him in video as well).
The great thing about this song is that it has a basis in country and pop so could be a good crossover. As an upbeat record it could do well on radio.

Another great song. I love it too much and love singing it. Is it too slow? Would it do well on radio. I'm not sure. I have to say I saw Jess sing thi live on youtube at a gig early on. The live version wa more passionate, especially the bit from 'So now you're walking on the city street.....' That version should have been the album version. It gives the song more umpth, more fire. Again many girls would identify with this. I see this a a good song to release after 'Still beautiful'.
Video wise, I definitely envision a face off type scene, where jess is sitting across a table singing with fiery anger almost to her love rat- like a police interview would be conducted.

By this stage I was delighted with the quality of the songs on the album, this was just another great song.
Too many good song to choose from. Of course this song would be great to release and to have in a back catalogue of release singles. I see this as a song many would be singing on talent shows for their auditions. It is beautiful, passionate and quite vocally challenging. Perfect.

Another great song. At first I found it the 'Are you man enough?' a bit repeatitive but the 'I want to share all of my ...' bit salvages that and gives it that beautiful quality.

What can you say- much deeper country than the rest. Great song. Probably poor decision to place this after 'man enough' in the tracklist because the instrumentation is similar-same-ish.
I love the adlibs at the end but realise that it would need to be toned down for radio. I imagine this would do very well on radio. I feel that the song is older than Jessica is. It just doesn't have a youthful tone/sound. Still great song.

The song that never made the album. I really dont know why. This song is really beautiful and has such a great tone and warm feel to it. It has a good country sound too. I could imagine many singing along with this and it being used in TV ads or shows. I imagine the video being very rustic- maybe black and white clips of a pick and mix of jess's life, doing concerts, behind the scenes of shows, messing around with family and friends and meeting fans. it would probably good around the holiday season- thanks giving and Christmas.

The words are beautiful and Jessica adds such dept and feeling to them all. "Remember That", "When I Loved You Like That," you can hear the pain and the exceptance of that pain in her voice. "Pray out Loud" Wow, this speaks of her faith with out being a bible thumper. And if you don't here the Man Enough and think of how much you love your partner, you are not listening hard enough. Keep them comming like this and I will by them all.

WHEN I LOVED YOU LIKE THAT
Another great song. I love it too much and love singing it. Is it too slow? Would it do well on radio. I'm not sure. I have to say I saw Jess sing thi live on youtube at a gig early on. The live version wa more passionate, especially the bit from 'So now you're walking on the city street.....' That version should have been the album version. It gives the song more umpth, more fire. Again many girls would identify with this. I see this a a good song to release after 'Still beautiful'.
Video wise, I definitely envision a face off type scene, where jess is sitting across a table singing with fiery anger almost to her love rat- like a police interview would be conducted.

MIGHT AS WELL BE MAKING LOVE
By this stage I was delighted with the quality of the songs on the album, this was just another great song.
Too many good song to choose from. Of course this song would be great to release and to have in a back catalogue of release singles. I see this as a song many would be singing on talent shows for their auditions. It is beautiful, passionate and quite vocally challenging. Perfect.

MAN ENOUGH
Another great song. At first I found it the 'Are you man enough?' a bit repeatitive but the 'I want to share all of my ...' bit salvages that and gives it that beautiful quality.
For some reason I'm less likely to play this song over and over.

DO YOU KNOW
What can you say- much deeper country than the rest. Great song. Probably poor decision to place this after 'man enough' in the tracklist because the instrumentation is similar-same-ish.
I love the adlibs at the end but realise that it would need to be toned down for radio. I imagine this would do very well on radio. I feel that the song is older than Jessica is. It just doesn't have a youthful tone/sound. Still great song.

NEVER NOT BEAUTIFUL-(The song that got away)
The song that never made the album. I really dont know why. This song is really beautiful and has such a great tone and warm feel to it. It has a good country sound too. I could imagine many singing along with this and it being used in TV ads or shows. I imagine the video being very rustic- maybe black and white clips of a pick and mix of jess's life, doing concerts, behind the scenes of shows, messing around with family and friends and meeting fans. it would probably good around the holiday season- thanks giving and Christmas.

A long time listener and lover of her music one can finally feel the peace in her voice as she sings freely and without the "big wigs" behind her songs telling her what to do. Every album released had meaning and purpose and was showing parts of her life she wanted to share. But this album has finally put Jessica in a place where she seems comfortable and makes her listeners realize she is finally at peace with her life. YOU GO JESSICA. As I grow up and experience what a marriage is. I learned how brave and how painful it was when you were married. Your album "Come On Over" explains it clear of what you went through. I seen you on your concerts and the little brief explanation you gave before each song was so increadible. Im glad you were able to find comfort on Tony. Im glad you met him. Anyways I just wanted to let you know, I know you had a painful marriage, but don't worry is not always going to be that way. You need to learned from your mistake in order to experience life. I wish you nothing but the best in live. Eventhough u don't know me. Just have in mind you will always have a friend here.

Everything you say in this album is soo touching and wonderful. It's good to know that we are not the only ones who experience and go through that. It is an everyday kinda thing because without these emotions there would be no tomorrow nor there would be no point in life to live from.

Just Shy of Perfect Album!
This is definitely Jessica's Best Album yet and I believe that she will be around Country Music for a long time. I have rated every song on this album and have come up with 4.5 on most of these songs so my analysis is based partly on how others have been voting. Jessica this leaves you room to grow and mature into your new Country Career. God Bless you, I also played music in Church and have always felt the power of your voice. Please continue to add songs on future albums mentioning Prayer and His name. I've been a fan from the beginning and really look forward to your work. God Bless you with all you need, more than you want, and all the Love you deserve, which is infinite. Amen!
This is not what I exected.. WOW !!!
The words are beautiful and Jessica adds such dept and feeling to them all. "Remember That", "When I Loved You Like That," you can hear the pain and the exceptance of that pain in her voice. "Pray out Loud" Wow, this speaks of her faith with out being a bible thumper. And if you don't here the Man Enough and think of how much you love your partner, you are not listening hard enough. Keep them comming like this and I will by them all.
