I just have to say thank you on behalf of all women who are not a size 2. I have fluctuated a lot throughout my lifetime, at one point I was a size 2 and I am a comfortable size 8 now. I think it is wonderful that you embrace your body and influence other girls to have a positive image about themselves. I have 3 kids now, 2 are girls, and they adore you. I am so proud that you have stood up for yourself,despite the ridicule and harsh comments from society. My oldest daughter is entering puberty, which can be an awkward time for a girl, and I am going to "use" this incident to remind her that it is not important how everyone else sees you ... it is crucial to love yourself for the way God has made us all individually unique. I know that you know ... just as I do, when we have gained a few pounds or are just enjoying life. We don't need others to point out what we know. We don't need to squeeze ourselves into what society has deemed an appropriate weight. There is no such thing!! I am not always comfortable in my size 8 skin but I am learning to love myself regardless of the size of my jeans. I am healthy and happy and at the end of the day that is all that matters.
You are so beautiful and on top of that you are extremely talented. When is that going to be enough? When we say it is! Just like you are right now. Take a stand, be proud and be strong!
