Show in Windsor, Ontario - 9/25
Really? $150 for that?
Let me explain...
The doors opened at 7pm and show started at 8pm. The crowd was being ushered into the theatre, people waiting for Jessica Simpson to come out on stage. 8:00pm! Show time... or is it? 8:05, 8:10, 8:15, and still no show. At 8:20 the lights finally went down and the music started.
She seemed less enthused to be performing for a crowd of 5,000 people than if she were watching her beloved Tony Romo (Dallas Cowboys Quarterback) lose against the Miami Dolphins.
While trying to sit through countless country ballad after country ballad, she decided to take a 2 minute break so the band could introduce themselves. At this point, we were about 25 minutes into the show. They all did a little solo, announced where they were from, and kept playing while Jessica introduced the final member of the band and went right into a song. Finally, she played one that everybody knew called "With You". Despite the lack of interest on her part, the crowd was fairly into it.
She told us all about the reasons for writing each song before she sang them, which really had no meaning but to kill time. A few songs later she forgot the words to a song and made it abundantly clear that it happened by stopping and saying to the audience "Oh my... wait... uhh... I messed up the lyrics!". She finished the song and apologized again for the mistake. Another situation proving the fact that her head wasn't there, nor was the motivation to put on a good show.
She announced her last song which was the single from the new record. Hmm, last song? Did that much time pass already!? Wrong! Time check... 9:17pm. So not even 1 hour of performing and you're done? I paid $75 a ticket for the 2nd bowl. Yes, second bowl... first bowl were around $100 - $150 per ticket. So for $150 I get 57 minutes of a show?
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of Jessica Simpson. My finace is and that is why we were there. I bought them for her birthday present. However, just because I don't listen to her music doesn't mean that I want the show to be over quickly. My finace was having a great time, so I was happy to sit through it for her.
I can't imagine if all her shows are like this. Why would anybody ever go again? The night was rushed, unorganized, and felt unappreciated. If you didn't want to have to put your all into EVERY show then you shouldn't have become an ENTERTAINER. I don't care if you were having a bad day or if your dog was sick. You leave it at the door, go out and put on a show. That is why you are paid millions of dollars per year. Or why you ride in limos, never pay for a hotel room, fly private jets, have your own security team, and live in a 7000 sq ft house. We pay for all that, and all we ask in return is to be entertained.
I am thoroughly disappointed from tonight's performance. I wish there was a way to get my money back. To me, $150 was not worth 57 minutes of lazy performing and missed lyrics.

I am a fan, so I was very excited and looked forward to seeing Jessie live in Windsor. I am also a country music fan who has seen many, many country stars live. Live performances by Tim, Reba, Faith, Patty, Martina, Trish, were all awesome! I had read all the negative reviews that she was receiving but wanted to form my own opinion. Unfortunateely the reviews that I have read were true......her show was disappointingly awful. At least the part that I saw. I was so disappointed (maybe my expectations were too high) but I chose to leave when she left the stage after her first set. She is without doubt, drop dead gorgeous but her performance was terrible (at least from where I was sitting.....11th row on floor). To me, it seemed like the music was too loud or there was something wrong with Jessie's communication set which prevented her from hearing the band properly. This led to her having to scream or shout the lyrics which caused multiple pitch problems and unrecognizable garbled lyrics. My suggestion is to tone down the music so that we can hear that beautiful voice that she really has.
I would have to agree with you, Jessica performance is not worth watching she looks awkward. I wonder what she'll blame now about her forgetting her lyrics, last time she blamed it on her divorce. This time she has no excuse suposily she is in a good place. I saw her performance on TV, it is not for her.
