You are pretty and I would kill to look like you!

Add me to the list of women who had to sign up and come here to write something about how the media is being so mean to Jessica. I feel bad that she is treated so poorly and I believe that most American women feel the same as me. JS has had a terrible week, and most of us would not have it plastered for the world to see.

OK, so she's not as buff and skinny as she was in the Dukes days, but come on--this is a real person, still gorgeous by the way, that the media is making fun of and its just not very nice! So she picked up a couple of pounds! Big deal! She's also not 20 any more either. She'll lose some weight when she is ready to, if she wants to--it is entirely up to her. Jessica has always been curvy, and the camera adds pounds. I had the priviledge of seeing Oprah a few years ago, and she was a whole lot slimmer than how the camera made her look. I suspect its the same with JS, who had some awful photos published. I will agree that her outfit was not very flattering, we all have our off days and I don't hold it against her.

JS is probably one of the most outwardly resilient celebrities we read about. Sadly she has been the topic of media fodder for years. Being a bit ditzy is one thing--but the size/body issue crosses the line and is totally mean. No one should have to spend 4 hours a day in a gym and deny themselves food just for a photo, celebrities included. There comes a point where we have to be comfortable with who we are, and if JS is comfortable in her more curvy state, then so be it. We need to accept her for who she is regardless of dress size and the media should move on to something more constructive.

Jessica looks stunning in any size. That's all there is to it. She is everything but fat! I wish that the media would finally leave her alone.

I hope you know how much I Iove you. You are huge part of me and my life, I've learned so much from you. You inspire me to be who I am and to do stuff that I love to do. No one can ever ever realise how much I actually love you. XOXO

I heard this on TV the other day and saw that picture and I almost lost it! I have never posted on one of these websites before, but after seeing this report felt I MUST come here to put my 2¢ worth in!

JESSICA IS GORGEOUS! She does NOT look overweight at all! She looks HEALTHY!!!!

I am just so sick of seeing these anorexic looking, bony young ladies on the "red carpet" thinking they look SO GOOD! They usually look stick thin and that is NOT a healthy thing! It also sends the wrong message to young girls who may want to model themselves after these skeletal actresses!

I am so glad that Jessica Simpson, who I've always admired, is now going to be able to send a new message to young girls everywhere! THAT ANOREXIC LOOKING BODIES ARE NOT BEAUTIFUL! A HEALTHY, TONED BODY IS WHAT IS BEAUTIFUL!

Women were made to have curves and Jessica is displaying her curves beautifully. YOU GO GIRL!!!

Jessica,
I am a mom of 4 kids. I lost 57 lbs on weight watchers a year and a half ago. I went from a size 18 to a size 8 (which sometimes goes to a 10). I feel fabulous in my new size. I get compliments all the time for loosing the weight. In the real non hollywood world a size 8 is skinny! You are beautiful and real and I applaud you for taking care of yourself. Your old weight was not in a healthy range. I joined this community just to compliment you on the example you are giving to all women!

Me too!
I mean, I just had to sign up to post about the weight crap that the Media are spewing forth. Jessica, you are a very beautiful woman, you are talented, you are so sweet, and you are NOT overweight.

awww geez. She danced in her bikini to sell the music. Period. She made it big BECAUSE of her hot body - not in spite of it (yes take that you feminasties). If she looked back then like she looks today- you "fans"wouldn't even be posting here- because no one would have heard of her. At least most country fans were smarter than the "pop" fans- they called her out for it.

Ouch, that last comment is harsh!! Obviously there was a time where Jessica felt comfortable dancing in her bikini for the world to see. Who cares? That doesn't mean that she has to restrict herself and exercise constantly just to keep up that body for the sake of her fans. Hey, guess what she is actually a real person. People fluctuate in size. I know I have. So what? There are lots of performers who are bigger than a size 2 and they have had successful careers. So the singing in the bar comment, is not fair or true.
I signed up on this website just to tell her that I think it is great that she is comfortable in her skin. I am an aerobics instructor and there is so much pressure to be thin, well ... life goes on and we can't always eat perfectly and we shouldn't have to. Ease up!!

Hello Jessica

The only reason I registered here was to tell you that you still look fabulous! Now you look like Marilyn Monroe or Anna Nicole Smith, both full-figured beauties.

For most of human existence, this has been the ideal of beauty and this was the way men preferred women to look, with meat on their bones. In some places, it is still this way.

I didn't want to you to get anorexia because of the negative comments, so I had to take a few minutes to register and comment.

I too signed up to give my opinion on this issue of Jessica's weight. I admit I'm not a fan of country or pop music. But, I have to say that all of the news coverage over Jessica gaining a few pounds really gets me fired up. This is what gives young girls such poor self images of themselves. They think, "Well, I'm a size 8, so I must be fat too!" What in the world?? Weight is so arbitrary, given height and body type. Girls DO NOT need the added pressure from the media to look a certain way, no matter what the cost.

By the way, I have a younger sister who has fought through bulemia. It is not pretty. And although she has it under control, she still drives me crazy talking about how fat she is, when she is a size 4! She will be the first to tell you about the pressure to be thin. Being healthy is one thing. But to say that Jessica is fat is just rediculous. Is the picture of her at a size 2 healthy? No. And that is so not realistic. She claims that she had to train every day and curb her food intake drastically. Who does that? Who has time to spend 4-6 hours a day at the gym and have a chef prepare low cal meals? Real people have real lives with hectic schedules. Jessica is no exception. She is a healthy REAL woman, to which other women can relate.

Real women know that busy schedules, stress, heart ache, break ups, family get togethers (like weddings), the holidays, not to mention PMS, can easily pack on extra lbs. Gimme a break, media! Leave her alone!

I also signed up just to post my opinion of the ridiculous comments being made about Jessica's weight.

I have to admit I am not a fan. But that doesn't mean I think this girl should be tormented by someone else's idea of what is beautiful.

First of all, she's not fat. Not even close. She is HEALTHY. We have been bombarded by sick stick figures and told over and over that this is beauty. These bags of bones who parade around with their hip bones sticking out and their bony arms and legs are horrible. THEY make me sick.

So Jessica, honey if being a size 10 (or whatever you are) makes you happy, then go for it. I'm just glad to see a woman with softness to her body. The way a REAL woman SHOULD LOOK!

Jessica,
I have always been such a huge fan of yours and thought you were one of the most beautiful and talented celebrities ever! You are absolutely beautiful and will always be...don't ever let anyone tell you differently. The media can be so harsh and will put anyone down at the first opportunity. You look so amazing and your voice is unbelievably gorgeous!!! I love u!! Believe in yourself and keep your head high!!

I SIGNED UP FOR YOUR SITE JUST TO WRITE YOU A POST
YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL GIRL AND NOT NOT FAT
YOU ARE THE CUTEST!!

stop lying to the girl, she is fat

jealousy gets the best of people jessica you are beautiful ignore the jealous fakes out there.

i think jessica looks better now than she ever has. im tired of the barbie doll singers. now that jessica has decided to be real people are shocked. her talents her money, but shes sexier now than ever.

I just want to say that Jessica is not fat, I am so tired that if a celebrity has some curves then they call her fat. I think she looks great and I am with the other comment made I will kill to look like her

mscsailor:

You have lost your mind. She made her $$ singing! And if you or someone else found her beautiful, then good for you. Whatever her weight, or height, or hair-color, etc., her voice stands on its own.

Jessica is clearly a real person. And God bless her for being real! Just like the rest of us. I can't figure out what all the fuss is about. She's gorgeous, and it's nice to see that she's a normal woman whose teenage metabolism didn't mysteriously hang around throughout her 20s. No woman stays ultra slim at all times as they grow up. And you know what, there's a lot more to life than being super-skinny!

You go, Jessica! Enjoy your life, and above all, be happy.

Baloney. She (and a lot of other Hollyweird starlets) made her $$ by appearing in suggestive outfits as a sex kitten. So now she's ballooned up and no one is supposed to notice? Hey, if she looked like this a few years ago, she'd still be singing for tips in a bar in Boise. If she didn't want anyone to notice she sould have worn a sack dress.
