Jessica dropped from label?????
I hope this is not true that Jessica was dropped from her label. I have been a fan since the very beginning and I think she has an amazing voice. The problem is not the genre of music; because frankly she can sing whatever she wants. She is that good. I think what Jessica needs to do is she needs to find herself again. She needs to become comfortable in her own skin and be happy with her life. Frankly, she does not look to happy with her life right now. At the end of the day, it does not matter who you made happy today, whether it is the record label, your friends, or even your dad/ manager. What matters is that you happy with your life, and if you are not you need to change it.
Jessica, you and your sister have inspired me so much with your music. Music has always been my inspiration to sing and love and I hope that it is still your inspiration. I think you as an artist need to get away from everyone and go somewhere by yourself and truly listen to what your heart says. The Jessica I have seen in Newlyweds was such an inspiration to me because even though people made fun of you, you took it with a grain of salt and moved on. You are such a strong person and I know you can do this.

i have heard mixed things on this as well.. i would just like to say that Jessica Simpson is a really good singer with a 5 octive opratic range and someone needs to be sticking up for her and i can't imagine going through this much ups and downs as she goes through.. obviously she is beautiful and talented, or the media wouldn't be so obsessed with getting her picture, or tearing her apart.. and that whole thing about her gaining weight is aweful and judgemental.. as a fellow nfl wife i know what it is like to eat every meal with someone who eats 3,000 calories a day- it's HARD to not be tempeted to have ice cream every night because they want it and it's hard to maintain your weight. she needs to know she is beautiful and people need to be a little more empathetic. i have liked her music from the start (so cute and fun- she got me into Louis Vuitton and has great style and always looks cute) and all her cd's and all her styles are great and fun to listen to.. she is versital and that is not a bad thing.. her country cd- every track is good. if they drop her from the label it is their loss. she is similar to dolly parton and if her cd's don't sell in "mass quantities" they will sell well over time and isn't that just as good??..

Hey! I signed up just so I could comment on this! I read this article on Yahoo, and I am disgusted as well. Why can't they just leave her alone? I bought this CD when it first came out. I have to admit, I wasn't a big fan of hers, but I liked the one song I heard on the radio....come on over...so I purchased it.
I LOVE this CD! What on earth are these people talking about? Her CD is beautiful, she has a wonderful voice! I hope she keeps making country music!
Also, she is a beautiful woman.....when they were talking about her weight it made me sick! So sad, and they wonder whats wrong with young people today!

I haven't followed her story probably as much as most, but I do aggree that she is an inspiration. Just knowing that she is going to try something new and that she holds on with both hands, is just awesome.
We all have our up's and down's in life right? I think she does need some time for herself. I don't know how many times I have needed it. That's one of the nice things about living out in the country. You can walk down the dirt road and just spend time thinking or sitting by the riverbed with your bare feet in it. Some city life and jobs seem to really drown out the most important sounds that we really need to hear. Don't get me wrong, I love my family dearly and wouldn't trade them for anything, but sometimes we all need our quiet time for ourselves. I think the advice you have given her is good.
Jessica, I don't know if you are actually going to read this or not, but I just want you to know that I think your still a great person. I don't know you like maybe a true friend would, but keep your chin up and keep moving forward in whatever goal you choose to persue. If your heart is in it then that's all that matters. It's not how we start, but finish. I know that's an old saying as well as many but, it's true. I have been trying to surround myself with positive people in my life. I got tired of the relationships, with obviously the cheating, lies, and whatever else. I got tired of people trying to control me and change me. I don't mind changing myself if it's going to bring about positive results, not just for everyone else but for me, but also maintains good moral standing as a good rolemodel for future generations.
Do you know what the richest places on the planet are? Graveyards, and yes I am serious. There are people who never fullfilled their dreams, never tried to persue them, but gave up or where too scared to try. Some even chose to believe lies from their peers and/or family members. Some could have become great President's, doctors, lawyers, world changers, and teachers. So, many have allowed those things to be buried with them. Don't let fear stand in your way, but let your shield be your passion and your heart be your strength, and your love for yourself and people be your weapon.
I guess one of the most important things that I have learned in life is that to expect nothing in return when you give. So I live to give, and this is what makes me happy no matter what.

I agree with you, Jessica needs to find her self again. when she was singing on in the skin she really wanted to sing that to the best and it showed some of her best vocals. She has the most amazing chest voice and needs to go and show off her talents. I love jessica to bits because she is a real girl and makes mistakes but people love and will stay with her. I really do hope she does another Pop/adult contem album as mainstream is where she belongs.
Yes it's true Jessica was dropped by Sony Nashville so this likely will put an end to Jessica Simpson's days as a country-music singer. Jessica still is signed with Epic Records so you can expect more pop albums in the future. Rumor has it the head honcho of Sony BMG Nashville was fed up with Jessica forgetting her lyrics and crying on stage during her tour with Rascal Flatts. I seen her in person during this tour and jessica simpson lyrics were perfect that night.
