For my daughters sake...

For my daughters sake...

I'm not sure if Jessica ever reads these or not but this is the only way I know to possible reach her with my plea.

The plea I have for you Jessica is for the sake of my daughters. Madison is 12, Kennie is 11 and Maci Dean is 9. As they go through the checkout line with me they see all the tabloids and crap that is being spewed about your weight. All they see is a beautiful Jessica Simpson (celebrity) and can't understand why anyone would be making such a big deal about your size.

Please change the definition of "beautiful" for our future generations. By all means if you are not happy being a certain size, change it. But do it for you and not because of media bullying. If something is not done and a beautiful brave soul does not stand up and say, "Enough is enough" this craziness will NEVER end. It takes just one. Get your picture taken. Let the world see you having a great time and loving yourself just as you are. Once again, that isn't to say that if you aren't happy or healthy you should just suck it up and be an example. I'm just saying that until we ourselves can lead by example, showing younger girls that contentment in your own skin, whatever size that may be at the moment, is not only possible but necessary to leading a fulfilling life, we're pretty much screwing ourselves.

Women and girls who aren't content in their own skin no matter the fluctuation in size, can't focus on things bigger than themselves. Where would the world be if Mother Teresa was overly weight conscious? Just think about it. Would her focus have been so drawn to the world around her... I say no. I'm obviously not comparing you to Mother Teresa but just using her as an extreme example of why weight issues, especially for girls needs to be a thing of the past. We all struggle with it and we all want to be comfortable in our own skin. But my suggestion to that is... then be comfortable.

We need people like you to get the ball rolling with this. Please show the world the beautiful woman that God has created you to be and show our generation of girls that contentment comes in LOTS of sizes!

Hugs, well wishes, and God Bless.

Misti Martin (mama of 3 BEAUTIFUL young ladies!)

I hope you know how much I Iove you. You are huge part of me and my life, I've learned so much from you. You inspire me to be who I am and to do stuff that I love to do. No one can ever ever realise how much I actually love you. XOXO

I think Jessica looks gorgeous no matter what size she is. The way I see it, if you can look that hot and eat food you actually enjoy, work it.

I completely agree. People are not defined by what size they are they are defined by their actions and who they are on the inside.

That's right; beauty comes in all sizes. And beauty comes from what you are inside.

I am so glad you you said this...I have a smart, talented, beautiful daughter who is not skinny. Jessica and my daughter and your daughters are more than a tag size, a bra size. Beauty comes in all sizes.

Thank you Misti
