Animals are like children, and I am writing this specifically because my heart goes out to you. I know how much you loved your Daisy. I cannot even imagine what you are going through. And it doesn't matter even if you have a spouse, kids, job, an animal is something special. They are always there for you and it is completely expected to feel that loss. I would really recommend getting another dog from a shelter. Nothing can replace your Daisy, but having another dog will make it easier and you can save a life. There is something spiritual about rescuing another dog after the loss. It will get easier.
